I have decided that Dr. T is a bit of a pessimist. He looked at my xrays and said there was no change. I looked at my xrays and saw improvement. When I questioned him, he said, 'Well, yes, I guess the area is smaller.' Hmmmm - isn't that an improvement? Then I did the breathing test. My air diffusion went from 47% to 51%, to which he said 'no improvement'. I know it isn't huge, but I'll take 4% better! So, while I am not drastically improved from three months ago, everything is going up and not down, so I am happy.
In case you are a daily reader of my blog, I posted earlier today, too.
Have a great day!

I see all of your numbers as improving also!!! We will have to get Dr. T thinking "our" way. Every improvement needs to be celebrated. I guess that means we will have to think of something fun to do. Oh, how I hate that job, but somebody has to do it!! :)

Has anyone ever said anything to Dr T about his attitude and that attitude is a big part of battling a disease? Sometimes I think doctors get to looking too much at the numbers and not enough at the person. Thank Goodness you are keeping track of your progress for your own records! Keep up the wonderful work!! I agree that every improvement deserves celebration.
Tiny increments rock! Jacque - just imagine January. And now August. Lady, you rock!!!
So glad to hear of all the improvements! Even the littlest make a world of difference.

Oh, phooey on Dr. T and his attitude. That's plain ridiculous {grin}. Your attitude is the one that counts.
Dying to know here - have the cookies made it through another day? Because really ... if Greg doesn't want them, I'd be glad to drive over there and eat a few! (hehe)
Once upon a time, a few doctors got together to do a study on optimism. To run the study, they found two little boys. One was always happy and positive, while the second boy was always moping as he dwelled on everything that went wrong.
Each boy was placed in a room for an hour by themselves and then the doctors visited each room to see what happened when the positive boy was in a very negative situation and vise versa. As they walked into the room where the sad boy was, they saw him sitting in a room full of brand new toys still in their boxes and he was crying. When they asked what was wrong he replied, "If I take them out of the box, they will never be new again and the value will have decreased."
As they walked down the hall to the other observation room, they heard childish laughter floating towards them. They opened the door to a room full of manure and the positive boy was running around covered in it from head to toe. They watched in amazement as he threw it in the air, laughing and digging holes everywhere. When they asked what he was doing he replied "With all of this manure, there has to be a pony in here somewhere!!"
Ah, the power of a positive attitude. May your manure come from a pony.
